Data sharing and analytics power Virginia’s first unified workforce portal

We are proud to support the Commonwealth of Virginia with the launch of the Virginia Career Works Referral Portal, a groundbreaking statewide platform that refers individuals to programs to assist them in advancing their career paths and achieving financial independence through training, certification, education and employment services.

The Referral Portal is a secure platform that aggregates unemployment payment and claims data, Census information, and labor market trends from across the Commonwealth.

By combining this information into a shared workforce data platform, employment specialists and citizens are granted a unified view into all of the available services and training opportunities. In addition, state leaders and policy makers have access to data-driven insights about the Commonwealth’s workforce initiatives.

“The new portal and strategic workforce dashboard embody Governor Northam’s vision for the workforce development system as a whole. By making the full spectrum of services accessible through one virtual door, we are bringing every resource to the table to help Virginians recover from the economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis.”
