Qlarion Retains Anthony Fung as Strategic Advisor; Sets Course for Future Growth

Qlarion, a big data and analytics firm that specializes in government innovation, today announced that Anthony Fung has engaged with the company as a strategic advisor. Currently CEO of GovInsight, a boutique consulting firm, Anthony previously served as the Deputy Secretary of Technology, Office of the Governor for the Commonwealth of Virginia during the McAuliffe administration.

In his role with Qlarion, Anthony is advising on government client strategy and data analytics efforts, and pinpointing various areas of need where Qlarion may be able to provide strategic value. Additionally, as a proven executive with more than 20 years of experience in information technology management, strategic planning, and operations management, Anthony brings a level of insight into the data analytics market and where it might be headed to assist Qlarion with their growth strategy.

In his capacity with the Governor’s office, Anthony served as a senior advisor to the Commonwealth on technology matters including data analytics, cyber security, innovation and entrepreneurship, and technology operations. Prior to joining the Governor’s Cabinet, Anthony was the CEO of a professional consulting firm, which serviced federal clients such as the Department of Defense, Health and Human Services, Department of Homeland Security, and General Services Administration. Anthony also served as a SCORE counselor, providing advice to small businesses on start-up best practices, business operations, and strategy.

“By partnering with Qlarion, I have the fortune of continuing to do what I love, which is helping solve complex government and civic technology challenges,” said Fung. “I am excited to be working with Qlarion in this capacity and believe that their reputation as a trusted provider of data analytics solutions to government agencies makes this a perfect match. Their past performance is stellar and their status as a Best Place to Work makes them a compelling company to partner with.”

“Not only does Tony bring a wealth of insight and experience with him from his time serving in the Governor’s office and overseeing data initiatives throughout the Commonwealth, but he also has experience growing his own successful company in the federal government space for more than a decade,” said Jake Bittner, CEO, Qlarion. “This combination of factors aligns perfectly with our strategic mission to transform government agencies into data-driven organizations by injecting analytics into their operations. Tony knows the ins and outs of various levels of government while also understanding the unique pain points of being a growing business, and his advice will be invaluable as we continue to grow Qlarion.”
