Qlarion Named one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia for the Third Straight Year

For the third year in a row, Qlarion has been named as one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia by Virginia Business and Best Companies Group.

This statewide survey and awards program, which is based on an anonymous employee survey, is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses.

Qlarion was ranked 18th out of 63 companies in the small business category, a significant jump from last year’s rank of 54. Jake Bittner, Qlarion’s CEO, attributes this year’s performance to the firm’s continued commitment to creating a corporate culture that emphasizes healthy work-life balance, professional development, and internal communication.

“Building a corporate culture that brings out the best in your employees is not a one-time effort,” says Bittner. “We established our company’s values in 2010, when we founded Qlarion, and they have always served as our culture’s framework. But the entire leadership team understands that our culture is a living thing, and we make sure to prioritize it.”

In its quest to attract the best talent in the business intelligence and analytics field, Qlarion has developed a performance-driven environment that encourages people to be passionate and creative. The company provides extensive ongoing learning, training and certification opportunities and works with each employee to develop a defined career path. In addition to giving the employees the flexibility they need to take care of themselves and their families, Qlarion offers generous benefits and paid time off.

Qlarion is active in the Northern Virginia community and participates in a number of employee-led volunteer programs, including events and fundraisers supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand, A Child’s Joy, and Adopt a Hero.

Qlarion continues to grow and is hiring for a number of positions up and down the East Coast. The company has recently built a team exclusively focused on Open Data in a new Charlotte-based office.
