Qlarion Virginia Best Places to Work 2021

RESTON, VA- January 7, 2021- Qlarion, a data and analytics firm specializing in government innovation, has been recognized with the Best Places to Work in Virginia award for the seventh year in a row. The annual list of the Best Places to Work in Virginia was created by Virginia Business Magazine and Best Companies Group.

The 2021 Best Places to Work in Virginia list is made up of just 100 companies. Businesses are evaluated based on their workplace policies and their employee experience, measured by a confidential survey.

“At Qlarion, our mission is to make an impact every day,” said Jake Bittner, CEO and founder of Qlarion. “Our employees value the opportunity to apply their data analytics expertise to the nation’s most pressing problems such as opioid abuse, COVID-19 and helping the unemployed get back to work. I’m proud of their contributions and delighted to be named to the Best Places to Work in Virginia list for the seventh consecutive year.”

Over the last year, Qlarion has grown rapidly and received recognition for a number of new initiatives.  In June, Governor Ralph Northam announced that the Framework for Addiction Analysis and Community Transformation (FAACT), Virginia’s data-sharing and analytics platform developed by Qlarion and designed to combat the opioid crisis, was expanding to help the Commonwealth monitor and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. This summer, the Governor also announced a new workforce program. The Virginia Career Works Referral Portal and Dashboard, led by Qlarion, is designed to connect individuals with training, certification, education, and employment services to help them find a job and career path. The Virginia legislature commended Qlarion for its role in COVID-19 recovery efforts at a special session in August.

To be considered for participation in the Best Places to Work in Virginia program, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
  • Be a publicly or privately held business;
  • Have a facility in the state of Virginia;
  • Have at least 15 employees working in the state of Virginia; and
